Express Yourself

Teen Advisory Group (TAG)

Teen Advisory Group members:

  • Help to select material for the young adult collections (books, music CDs, magazines, comic books and graphic novels, DVD’s, videotapes, etc.)
  • Read review copies of books and write reviews.
  • Suggest new ways to help make the library "teen friendly"
  • Plan library programs that will appeal to area teens (For example: game nights, mystery nights, musicians)
  • Help choose and set up movie and anime series for local teens
  • Earn community service hours
  • Talk about books, music, movies
  • Have a good time!

If you are interested in joining Teen Advisory Groups forming at the Central Library and Goleta Branch, please print out the guidelines and visit your closest library for the application brochure.
