-The service is available to Santa Barbara Public Library System card holders seven days a week from  1:00PM through 10:00PM Pacific time. Spanish speaking math and science tutors are available Sunday through Thursday, 1:00PM - 7:00PM.
-Students in 4th-12th grades as well as college freshmen can use the service as often as they wish and receive help in math, science, social studies and English.

Connecting to a tutor is as easy as 1, 2, 3.   Simply:
1. Click here and enter your Santa Barbara Public Library card number and personal identification number (PIN) to connect to Live Homework Help.
2. Select a subject: math, science, social studies or English
3. Select a grade level: 4th-12th and College Intro

You will be immediately connected to a tutor in the Online Classroom where you can chat, work on the interactive white board where you can use drawing and math tools, co-browse the Web and share files such as essays or reports. Students who create a personal login within the Live Homework Help engine can connect to their favorite tutors and review past sessions whenever they wish. All students can print their sessions and share them with a teacher, parent or guardian.

About the Tutors
Live Homework Help tutors complete thousands of one-to-one sessions each month. The tutors are certified teachers, college professors, professional tutors, graduate school students and undergraduates from top universities. Every tutor completes a rigorous training program and ongoing evaluation process, which includes meeting at regular intervals with a mentor who reviews his or her work. Tutors also attend professional development seminars to improve their teaching skills in the online environment. Every tutor has successfully completed a criminal and reference background check administered by Kroll Background America.

Live Homework Help is made available courtesy of a Library Services and Technology Act grant administered through the California State Library.
